Congratulations are in order for Anne Hathaway! On Friday, June 19, the actor announced she is pregnant with her third child with husband Adam Shulman.
Hathaway was recently spotted enjoying a vacation in sunny Saint-Tropez, her baby bump visible beneath an array of breezy maxi dresses and cover-ups, including the Anne dress from her stylist Erin Walsh’s collaboration with La Ligne. Hathaway was also seen in a bikini with a towel around her navel, and one of her trademark wetsuits that showed her growing stomach.
The Oscar winner went on to confirm the news herself on Instagram. “x Baby, I’m yours x,” she captioned the video, which sees her walk into frame in a flowing white linen two-piece from Nothing Fits But, its smocked skirt waist encircling her pregnant belly. She beams, hugs her bump, then runs playfully out of sight again. “Baby I’m Yours” by Barbara Lewis soundtracks the short clip.
This is the previous Vogue cover star’s third child. She shares two boys with Shulman: Jonathan, age 10, and Jack, age six, both of whom the couple have kept out of the public eye. Shulman and Hathaway have been married since 2012.
In 2019, when she made her second pregnancy announcement on Instagram, the actor wrote: “It’s not for a movie… #2.” She also got candid to hint at some fertility struggles: “All kidding aside, for everyone going through infertility and conception hell, please know it was not a straight line to either of my pregnancies. Sending you extra love.”
It’s been a busy year for Hathaway, with several major film projects rolling out. First came The Devil Wears Prada sequel, in which she reprised her iconic role as Andy Sachs, and the A24 musical psychodrama Mother Mary, in which she starred as a pop star on the precipice of existential crisis. She will also appear in Christopher Nolan’s epic The Odyssey as Penelope, the dystopian sci-fi thriller The End of Oak Street, and an adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s Verity.
