While her Stella pieces hailed from the house’s winter collections, Amal’s look still felt summery and sophisticated thanks to her airy shirt and slightly more statement-making pants. The stirrup silhouette—while more in legging form—has been vying for a bit of a comeback for the summer season ahead. The equestrian-coded pant is practical, minimalist, and worth a double take, very much a cooler take on the everyday tailored trouser.
The stirrup legging has shown up on the runways of Jil Sander and Saint Laurent across fall and spring seasons, and been worn day to day by Kendall Jenner (a known horse girl) too. While the Amal Clooney school of style leans classic with very decisive twists (a gown with a mermaid tail here, a mini dress and stompy boot there), the stirrup pant feels very much within her sartorial lexicon.
Her glam, of course, stayed signature. Hair and makeup was by her go-to Dimitris Giannetos, who styled her hair in a ’90s style, side swept, bouncy blowout. Makeup was bronzed with a glossy nude lip, brushed up brows, and a warm contour.
Clooney remains in Bangkok as part of Cartier’s program empowering women entrepreneurs, where she is acting as one of several prominent speakers, giving a keynote address.
