Nike First Sight Mirage Release Date HQ2412-001

In recent months, Nike has been pushing the envelope when it comes to futuristic footwear designs, particularly when it comes to its sports-meets-style women’s First Sight collection. While we’re still awaiting the official launch of the Foamposite-like First Sight Shadow, another one of the trio’s models has just received its most detailed look yet.

After summer 2025’s viral “Boots Only Summer” trend, it looks like Nike is taking the concept literally and delivering what is essentially a football boot-informed design that can actually be worn casually in the streets. According to the Beaverton, Ore.-based sportswear brand, the First Sight Mirage combines a soccer cleat with an Oxford dress shoe with a streamlined upper and a first-of-its-kind cushioning setup.

A unique cleat-inspired configuration with protruding, 3D-sculpted TPU spikes that are actually filled with foam absorb impact underfoot. Nike says the setup is meant to offer “ample cushioning for the urban athlete.” Above the spike-like cushioning system lies a dress shoe-inspired upper, which also takes notes from on-the-pitch footwear. The design, with its segmented panels and three-dimensional overlays, references the scuffs and abrasions that soccer cleats pick up during a match.

“These shoes were truly made from scratch, with our designers gathering insights from around the world to create new art forms that speak to today’s female athlete. Each silhouette is inspired by sport, infused with Nike-only energy, and crafted for women who want to push the boundaries of self-expression,” Thomasin Hummerstone, senior director of energy footwear at Nike, said of the First Sight Range in a press release.

After a mysterious preview in March, a full detailed look at the First Sight Mirage is now available via Nike’s e-commerce product imagery. The sneaker will be released soon exclusively in women’s sizing in four colorways: Black/Flash Crimson/Black (style code HQ2412-001), Summit White/Multi-Colour/Ice/Metallic Silver (style code HQ2412-100), Sail/Clear/Black (style code HQ2412-101) and Light Crimson/Clear/Black (style code HQ2412-600). 

Retail pricing of $170 is expected when the model debuts this fall with availability from Nike’s Snkrs app and select Nike retailers.
