THE WHAT? Chinese beauty group Proya Cosmetics has inaugurated a new European research and innovation laboratory in France, strengthening its international R&D capabilities and scientific collaboration between Europe and China.
THE DETAILS The 450-square-metre laboratory in Suresnes, France, will focus on skin biology, biotechnology, longevity and sustainable cosmetic ingredients. Supported by seven researchers, the facility builds on Proya’s European Innovation Center established in Paris in 2024 and will collaborate with its existing R&D operations in China to accelerate product and ingredient innovation.
THE WHY? The investment reinforces Proya’s international expansion strategy and highlights the growing importance of cross-border scientific collaboration in cosmetics innovation. Establishing a stronger European research presence will provide access to specialist expertise and support the development of advanced skincare technologies and ingredients.
