THE WHAT? Parfums Christian Dior has appointed Sophie Gilg General Counsel for the company and LVMH’s Beauty division, strengthening its legal, ethics and compliance leadership.
THE DETAILS Gilg will oversee legal, ethics and compliance strategy and report directly to Parfums Christian Dior President and CEO Véronique Courtois. She has served as Legal Director and a member of the Parfums Christian Dior management committee for the past four years. Gilg joined LVMH’s legal department in 2004 and subsequently served as Legal Director for Hublot, Zenith and TAG Heuer between 2006 and 2021. Her appointment follows the recent naming of Alexandre Oulès as Chief Operating Officer of LVMH’s Beauty division.
THE WHY? The internal appointment strengthens the legal and compliance structure supporting LVMH’s Beauty division as the group continues to reorganise its leadership and position its beauty maisons for future growth in an increasingly challenging market.
