THE WHAT? H&M Beauty has appointed actor Sharvari as its first brand ambassador in India as the retailer looks to build its beauty business and strengthen its positioning in the market.
THE DETAILS Sharvari will front H&M Beauty’s communications in India across its portfolio of make-up, fragrance, hair and body care. The appointment coincides with the launch of a new make-up assortment spanning products including blush, highlighter, kajal, liquid eyeshadow and lip gloss. The range will be distributed through H&M stores across India and digitally through Hm.com, Nykaa and Myntra. H&M said the partnership follows the first year of its beauty category in India and forms part of plans to build further momentum in the market.
THE WHY? The appointment signals H&M’s continued investment in developing beauty as a standalone growth category in India, combining a local ambassador strategy with nationwide store distribution and major e-commerce platforms to increase the reach of its fashion-led beauty proposition.
