THE WHAT? Macy’s has appointed Maya Dukes as Senior Vice President, Executive Creative Director, effective August 31, 2026, as the US department store continues to strengthen its brand under its Bold New Chapter strategy.
THE DETAILS Dukes will report to Chief Marketing Officer Sharon Otterman and oversee Macy’s creative strategy and brand expression across customer touchpoints, working with marketing, merchandising and digital teams to strengthen and reimagine the Macy’s nameplate. She returns to the retailer after previously working there from 2001 to 2007 and most recently served as Managing Director, Global Brand, Creative and Agency Operations at Delta Air Lines, with earlier leadership roles at Comcast NBCUniversal, The Home Depot and other consumer businesses.
THE WHY? The appointment brings more than two decades of brand and creative leadership experience to Macy’s transformation programme, as the retailer looks to modernise its creative operations, strengthen customer engagement and sharpen its brand positioning.
