THE WHAT? Ulta Beauty has appointed PacSun CEO Brieane Olson to its Board of Directors, effective August 31, 2026, adding more than two decades of specialty retail experience to the beauty retailer’s leadership.
THE DETAILS Olson brings experience spanning strategic planning, brand building, omnichannel commerce, merchandising and organisational leadership. She has served as CEO of PacSun since 2023, having previously held roles including President, Chief Brand Officer and Chief Merchandising Officer during nearly two decades with the retailer. Ulta Beauty said her experience leading consumer retail businesses through growth and transformation will support the execution of its Ulta Beauty Unleashed strategy. Olson will replace Kelly G. Garcia, who vacated his Board seat as he transitions to become Ulta Beauty’s Chief Technology Officer, leaving the company with a 10-member Board.

Olson’s appointment strengthens Ulta Beauty’s Board with expertise in specialty retail, omnichannel development, merchandising and brand building as the company executes its next phase of growth.
