THE WHAT? Henkel’s Hair business delivered 4.2% organic sales growth in the first half of 2026, making it the main growth driver within its Consumer Brands division, as the group continued to expand its hair care portfolio through acquisitions.

THE DETAILS Organic sales in Henkel’s Hair business increased 4.2% in H1, supported by growth across both its Consumer and Professional businesses, with Hair Colorants and Hair Styling making the strongest contributions on the consumer side. Henkel also accelerated its expansion in hair care through the acquisitions of Not Your Mother’s and OLAPLEX during the period. OLAPLEX adds approximately €370 million in annual sales and strengthens Henkel’s position in premium and professional hair care, with the company stating that the deal has made it the global number two player in the professional hair business. Henkel plans to grow OLAPLEX through cross-selling, specialty retail and salon distribution, alongside further innovation and technology opportunities.

THE WHY? The results reinforce hair care as a strategic growth category for Henkel. By combining organic growth from its existing portfolio with acquisitions such as OLAPLEX and Not Your Mother’s, the company is building greater scale across mass, premium and professional hair care while expanding its reach through retail and salon channels.
