After years of kitten heel supremacy, Kendall Jenner is making the case for a wedge renaissance (wedgeaissance?).
Yesterday, Jenner and Hailey Bieber supported their friend Justine Skye during her set at the Moroccan Lounge in Downtown LA. Jenner opted for a low-maintenance look for the occasion, pairing a simple black tee and low-slung, slouchy blue jeans with black wraparound shades and a brown embroidered leather bowling bag from The Row.

But while Jenner’s shoes were initially nothing out of the ordinary, a second look would suggest otherwise: the model replaced her tried-and-true ballet flats and flip-flops with a wedge heel. Still, even when testing out a new silhouette, Jenner never strays far from her wheelhouse. While the pointy-toed shoes checked all her usual boxes—black, leather, The Row—the two-inch wedge heel didn’t seem like something wildly out of character, but merely a variation on a theme.
By keeping the rest of her outfit consistent with her day-to-day style, the switch-up seemed incremental rather than drastic. So whether you’re here for the wedgaissance or you’re planning to keep your heels slim and spiky, everyone can take a cue from Kendall Jenner: change can be scary, but just try dipping your toe in.
