THE WHAT? Amorepacific Group reported double-digit revenue and operating profit growth for the second quarter of 2026, supported by strong domestic demand and accelerating international expansion across the Americas, EMEA and Japan.
THE DETAILS Group revenue increased 14.6% year-on-year to KRW 1.2543 trillion, while operating profit rose 53.3% to KRW 122.8 billion. The group’s flagship subsidiary, Amorepacific, delivered revenue growth of 17% and operating profit growth of 59%, with overseas sales rising 28% and overseas operating profit nearly doubling. In South Korea, luxury, derma and hair care brands including Sulwhasoo, HERA, AESTURA, ILLIYOON, LANEIGE and Mise-en-Scène recorded strong growth, supported by online, multi-brand store (MBS) and department store channels. Internationally, the company benefited from strong performances during Amazon Prime Day, where brands including LANEIGE, COSRX, ILLIYOON and Mise-en-Scène ranked among top beauty sellers. COSRX also secured leading positions on Amazon in Germany and the UK, while Japan delivered record sales through the Qoo10 Mega Wari campaign. Although revenue declined in Mainland China due to ongoing channel optimisation, growth across North America, Europe and Japan more than offset the weakness. The company continues to execute its long-term “Create New Beauty” strategy, focused on global expansion, biotechnology-led innovation, AI integration and organisational transformation.
THE WHY? The results demonstrate Amorepacific’s successful diversification beyond China, with strong growth in North America, Europe and Japan validating its global expansion strategy. Improved profitability alongside international growth also highlights the company’s ability to scale premium brands while strengthening its competitive position in global beauty.
