Afew Store x Brooks Adrenaline GTS 10 ‘TWAGD’ Release Date

Brooks, the Seattle-based sports equipment company best known for its performance running shoes, continues to make impressive inroads in the lifestyle sneaker space. Its latest reissue of note is the Adrenaline GTS 10, an on-trend 2009 runner which has been reintroduced with the high-end cushioning tech used in some of the brand’s top-of-the-line running shoes.

After the release of several in-line colorways — including styles which have received on-foot approval from Jay-Z — the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 10 is now putting on its collab costume in tandem with German retailer Afew Store.

For their first collaborations, Afew and Brooks designed the limited-edition “Today Was a Good Day” (TWAGD) Adrenaline GTS 10, which serves as a reminder to embrace the joy of daily life. 

Set across a Fig/Bridal Rose/Fiery Coral color combination, the multi-material pair features a purple gradient fade across its mesh upper that’s matched with metallic synthetic overlays. At the heel, the overlays shift to a copper sheen before finishing in the form of a brown hairy suede. The theme is further brought to life with shades of pink and red on the accents, including a translucent heel for a glowing effect.

“Some days just stick with you. With the Adrenaline GTS 10 ‘Today Was A Good Day,’ Afew Store teams up with Brooks Running for a collaboration that captures exactly that feeling: warm, nostalgic, and full of character,” reads Afew’s official product description. 

More than just a re-creation of the ’09 Adrenaline GTS 10, Brooks upgraded the Y2K-era runner with what it calls nitrogen-infused DNA Tuned cushioning. The foam compound combines large and small foam cells to produce an underfoot feel that is both soft and responsive.

“We were able to combine [the two foams] in one process, which eliminates any need for glue that you would traditionally use to combine components of different physical properties,” Bryan Bhark, senior manager of innovation footwear development at Brooks Running, explained in a ’25 video.

Following an initial launch on Saturday from Afew, the Afew Store x Brooks Adrenaline GTS 10 Today Was a Good Day will be released again Aug. 15 from brooksrunning.com and select retailers. Retail pricing is 170 euro, which converts to roughly $196 as of publishing.
