Paige Bueckers Nike GT Cut 4 Shirley Buckets PE IX2111-600

Only time will tell if Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers will receive her own signature sneaker but in the meantime, Nike Inc. has prepared several player exclusive colorways of her go-to GT Cut 4 sneaker, including a style that’s actually set to be released at retail soon.

Bueckers’ Nike GT Cut 4 “Shirley Buckets” PE nods to both the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year’s “Paige Buckets” nickname as well as her well-documented love of Shirley Temples. 

“I know a Shirley Temple hate to see me coming,” Bueckers posted on X in 2024.

Bueckers’ affinity for the mocktail also earned her a special Gatorade flavor last summer. And while the Gatorade wasn’t produced in mass quantities for the public, the WNBA star’s upcoming Nike player exclusive should prove to be a bit more accessible.

With a Laser Crimson/Metallic Silver/Life Lime/Sport Red color combination, Bueckers’ upcoming GT Cut 4 release is covered in a graphic print of sparkling bubbles across its bright red upper. Cherry graphics sporting Bueckers’ initials and uniform number 5 are affixed to the heels, but there doesn’t appear to be other overt branding connected to the Wings sophomore.

In addition to the Shirley Temple-themed colorway headed to stores soon, Bueckers debuted yet another player exclusive on Wednesday against the Atlanta Dream. Wednesday’s “Paige by the Numbers” pair features a camouflage-esque purple pattern inspired by her love of coloring puzzle books as a child. 

Thus far, just one of Bueckers’ player exclusive Nikes has been released to the public, 2024’s GT Hustle 3. The mutlicolor style was released while Bueckers was still attending the University of Connecticut, making her the first NIL athlete to receive their own player edition Nike sneaker.

The Nike GT Cut 4 Shirley Buckets PE is set to be released Aug. 5 from Nike’s Snkrs app and select Nike Basketball retailers for $210. The sneaker’s style code is IX2111-600.
