This year, Copenhagen Fashion Week celebrates its 20th anniversary and in that time, the Danish capital has laid claim to being the unofficial fifth stop on the collections calendar—one often packed with as much action on the gades (streets) as the runways.
To mark the occasion—and the impact Scandi style has had on the world—we’ve put together a directory of the region’s buzziest street style stars using our ever-expanding archive, which dates back to 2015. The list is arranged alphabetically and chronologically, which allowed us to chart the changing tides of these women’s influence. Much of this has been documented by the roving eye of our very own Acielle Tanbetova, otherwise known as Style Du Monde. When many of these women got their start, “content creation” wasn’t yet a job description—in fact, a few launched as bloggers in a pre-Instagram era. And these days, not all of them are still active on the scene, but their effect on the industry is undeniable.
All of them either live or have resided at some point in Denmark, Norway, or Sweden. While some conform to the minimalist stereotype of Northern Europe, others are just as happy in electric brights and mad pattern mixes. The common thread, however, is how they deftly mix local and high-luxury brands with aplomb, which is something that fashionphiles everywhere can relate to.
Keep up with our resident street style photographer Acielle Tanbetova’s photos when Copenhagen’s spring 2027 show begins next week, and in the meantime, slide right to see photos of the Scandinavia street stylers responsible for the irresistible, infectious sense of fun and inspiration that has defined CPHFW street style until now.
