Sweltering temperatures couldn’t stop over 80,000 fans taking to the stands of the 2026 World Cup, seeing the ferocious final between the titan teams of Spain and Argentina. And it’s been as star-studded as it is tense. The FIFA World Cup 2026 Final opening ceremony spectacle brought British pop legend Robbie Williams in all his chains and crystal-embellished blue tracksuit, as well as Tom Cruise, Nicole Scherzinger, Laura Pausini, Post Malone, Swae Lee, and Jennifer Hudson to the field.
The stands were teeming with celebrity couples, too, each person looking as rapt as their respective partner. Still riding high from his beloved New York Knicks’s NBA victory, Timothée Chalamet appeared once again at a game, this time bringing along girlfriend Kylie Jenner. (Sharing a buzzy kiss.) Newlyweds Dua Lipa and Callum Turner were locked in behind their coordinating sunglasses, while Rihanna and A$AP Rocky sipped Champagne. Beyoncé and Jay-Z, fresh from their show last week, looked calm and collected as they spectated from the VIP. Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Barroso also made their allegiances clear, with the latter in an Argentina jersey and bucket hat. Victoria and David Beckham were of course present, too.
Elsewhere, there was Julia Garner (hopefully taking notes for that future, some-day-they’ll-make-it Madonna biopic), Anya Taylor-Joy, Gabrielle Union, Mick Jagger, Christina Aguilera, and Javier Bardem. Figures from across sport, film, TV, music, and pop culture continued to pop up from their seats: Will Ferrell, Kevin Hart, Serena Williams, Pharrell Williams, Jon Hamm, Adrien Brody, Trevor Noah, Richard Gere, and New York Knicks champs Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns. There was Jason Sudeikis, Dwyane Wad, Rob Gronkowski, Gayle King, and San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama.
From the NBAs to Wimbledon and the F1, it truly is the summer of sport for the celebrity set. Below, see all the stars watching the 2026 World Cup, below.
