Ahead of the start of the fall 2026 couture season—which will feature debuts by Pierpaolo Piccioli for Balenciaga, Duran Lantink for Jean Paul Gaultier, and Olivier Theyskens for Boloria—we’ve gone into the archive to revisit what street style looked like at the shows a decade ago. That July we clocked Zöe Kravitz in a ballerina-inspired tulle frock by Valentino. These days Bella Hadid is only loyal to walking at Saint Laurent, but 10 years ago she was the model of the moment, having walked for Atelier Versace, Christian Dior, Givenchy, and Fendi. Of course, some things never change: Decades on, models, editors, and stylists such as Natalia Vodianova, Lucinda Chambers, and Christine Centenera remain front-row fixtures at all the hottest shows and still have some of the most enviable ’fits, proving that good style is eternal.
Below, a flash back to street style at the fall 2016 couture shows.
