Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s upcoming wedding has one rule that we know of: “Absolutely no gifts,” according to NFL player (and one of Kelce’s close friends) George Kittle.
But the couple just broke that rule in a major way, and one that seems to confirm the rumors of a New York City wedding this weekend. On Thursday, it was announced that they have donated $26 million to a host of charities—including children’s hospitals, food banks, and educational programs—in New York and throughout the country.
According to a press release as reported by multiple outlets, the charities include: City Harvest in New York City; Food Bank For NYC; New York Cares; Los Angeles Regional Food Bank; Harvesters – The Community Food Network, Kansas City, MO.; The Store, Nashville, TN; Helping Harvest, Reading, PA; Rhode Island Community Food Bank; Feeding America; ASPCA; Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library; Grammy In The Schools; Education Through Music, New York, NY; Answer The Call, New York, NY; and Musical Mentors, New York, NY.
Many of these organizations are in areas that hold special meaning for Swift and Kelce, and the number of New York City-based charities seems to be the latest clue that the wedding is indeed happening in the city.
For now, they seem to be kicking off celebrations with an impressively generous wedding gift for those in need. What else do they have in store? Only time (and hard-to-get paparazzi shots) will tell.
