Here’s a quick roundup of the latest news from leading denim brands.
Guess
Guess Jeans delivers nostalgia, humor and denim in a new capsule collection inspired by Illumination’s “Minions & Monsters” in theaters on July 1.
The collection plays into the brand’s Hollywood roots and the film’s plotline, which looks at the Minions conquered Hollywood in the 1920s and became silent film stars. Guess said the capsule “merges cinematic fantasy with the lived-in attitude of classic Americana.”
The collection includes a women’s shrunken tee and a dungaree-style stretch denim mini dress, which is a nod to the characters’ signature denim one-piece. Denim dungarees, paint splatter carpenter jeans and four graphic organic cotton tees are part of the men’s range. The denim pieces vintage washes and special Minion-themes chainstitch embroidery.
The Guess Jeans x Minion collection retails for $44-$158.
Over the weekend, Guess Jeans celebrated the capsule collection’s launch with an activation at the Melrose store in Los Angeles. The event featured installations, a meet and greet with the Minions, DJs, denim customization and more.

Gap
Sweatshirts and jeans from the 2000s are part of the latest drop from Gap Vintage. The curated collection of one-of-a-kind Gap merchandise is handpicked by vintage collector Sean Wotherspoon and collected from around the world.
Items that remain available include a women’s jacket converted into a vest with custom trim on the collar, a men’s floral-print woven shirt from the ’90s, acid wash men’s jeans from the ’80s and more. Some of the pieces that have already been sold are women’s ’90s jeans and men’s rugby shirts and Gap logo hoodies. Items retail for $55-$95.
Gap Vintage launched in 2025 when Wotherspoon was named Gap’s “global vintage curator.” The initiative aims to put Gap’s archive back in rotation. Gap initially linked with the vintage guru and co-founder of the NFT digital fashion brand MNTGE in 2023 when he curated an assortment of denim overalls, jean jackets, shorts and logo ringer tees for the brand’s website and store located at The Grove in Los Angeles.

Rock & Roll Denim
Rock & Roll Denim unveiled a limited-edition collection of men’s apparel with country music star Koe Wetzel.
The collection is “rooted in shared Texan language” and combines Rock & Roll Denim’s Western heritage with Wetzel’s East Texas background. Motifs like a Texas-shaped camo pattern and traditional Western designs are found throughout the collection. Styles span slim fit snap shirts (available in long- and short-sleeve styles), graphic T-shirts and caps.
“Aside from his East Texas roots, Koe’s personal and musical style allowed this collection to come together seamlessly,” said Jamison Hochster, president at Rock & Roll Denim. “Koe Wetzel embodies our brand’s ethos. We’ve both cultivated engaged fans and an authentically Western style, and it’s exactly the kind of creative partnership that we pride ourselves on at Rock & Roll Denim.”
The Koe Wetzel x Rock & Roll Denim collection is available on rockandrolldenim.com and in select retailers, including Cavender’s and Boot Barn. Prices range from $34.99–72.99.
