Julia Fox punctuated balletcore tulle with glossy Roger Vivier slingbacks on Monday, arriving at “On the Dance Floor” hosted by Kiko Milano at Macy’s Herald Square in New York in a softer, pastel look.

The artist, actress and first-time director, who recently told WWD, “I’m not a celebrity,” wore Roger Vivier’s Viv Canard 55 slingbacks in violet patent leather that complemented her whimsical attire. The 55mm style features a tapered squared toe, cream patent straps and small gold buckles at the vamp and ankle. The slingback construction left the heel exposed, while the low cut at the sides made the pair feel lighter than a closed pump.

Fox paired the kitten-heeled slingbacks with Marc Le Bihan’s Shrink Silk Ballet Dress Flat Shoulder Series Triple Tulle. The dress had a fitted off-the-shoulder bodice in pale lavender, long sheer sleeves that covered most of the hand and a full tulle skirt layered in pink and lavender. She carried a matching purple clutch and wore violet-toned eye makeup, keeping the color story in the same lilac-lavender hue.
The low Roger Vivier heel made the look a softer turn for Fox, whose recent shoe choices have often pushed height and shape much further. In February, she paired another pastel purple look at Marc Jacobs’ spring 2026 show in white leather boots with a towering sculptural platform, a curvaceous block heel and corset-like lacing at the ankle.

Over the past year, her shoe style has run the gamut, from Matea Gluscevic heelless platforms, rare Le Silla Hard Rock wrap heels, Malone Souliers’ Nomi T-bar sandals and Gucci python peep-toe pumps, just to name a few. With the Viv Canard slingbacks, Fox kept the unusual-shoe instinct but moved it into a lower, glossier silhouette.

Fox arrived at a pivotal moment for Kiko Milano, which is using Macy’s to make its first major U.S. retail play. The Italian makeup brand, which crossed $1 billion in sales in 2025, began its rollout with Macy’s Herald Square, macys.com and select doors in New York and Virginia, bringing its color cosmetics to a much larger American audience. Madonna fronts the push as global ambassador, giving the 29-year-old brand a theatrical face for an expansion built around Italian beauty, pop culture and accessible pricing.
