It was a family night out for the Kardashian-Jenner clan last night, as Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, and cousin Cici Bussey headed for dinner at Spago in Beverly Hills. Hurtling towards summer and the Dolce Vita life once more, how does one dress for family dinner?
Kim and Kris opted, of course, to stick to their own tried and true style codes. Kim wore an archival Gianfranco Ferre gown from the fall 2004 collection, sourced from My Haute Wardrobe: an aubergine-toned dress with in-built corsetry and embroidered cups, cut out on the décolletage, with webbed sleeves and a high neck. As always, it was as body-contouring as could be with a mermaid skirt. She styled it with oversized sunglasses and stilettos, and wore her hair slicked back in a tight bun.
Jenner, meanwhile, kept up her sweeter, nostalgic style tip: she wore a cream patterned Valentino wool coat dress that skimmed the thigh, fastened with a large black bow at the neck. She styled it with white fishnet tights and black and cream cap toe pumps.
It’s been a big family week for them: just a few days ago, Kim and Kris attended Scott Disick’s Nobu-set birthday party with all the kids, as well as Kardashian’s boyfriend Lewis Hamilton (they’ve been publicly linked since February, hard-launching at the Super Bowl after weeks of swirling rumors) and his own mother. Since then, Kardashian and Hamilton have found a shared couples style rhythm, mixing their love of luxury labels with sporty sleek elements.
Whatever the occasion, dress code, or the season, know that Kim Kardashian stays serious about her archive pulls.
