THE WHAT? Olive Young has launched its first physical US retail store in Pasadena, California, alongside a dedicated US e-commerce platform as part of its international expansion strategy.
THE DETAILS The 8,647-square-foot OliveYoung Pasadena store offers around 400 brands and 5,000 SKUs across skincare, makeup, haircare, wellness and lifestyle categories, combining trending K-beauty brands with globally recognised names. The retailer has introduced personalised beauty services including skin scans, scalp analysis and expert-led “Skincare Lessons,” alongside experiential retail features such as testing stations and category-specific shopping zones. Olive Young will also roll out a three-tier loyalty programme, retailer-led sampling initiatives and trend-focused merchandising campaigns. The company confirmed plans to expand further across California before moving into East Coast, Southern and Central US markets.
THE WHY? The launch reflects growing global demand for K-beauty and highlights how Korean beauty retailers are investing in experiential omnichannel strategies to strengthen brand discovery, customer engagement and market penetration in the US beauty sector.
