On Tuesday night, the Seattle Art Museum Supporters hosted its annual fashion-centric “Spring Into Art” benefit in collaboration with Nordstrom. The retailer has partnered with SAMS since 1985, helping raise millions of dollars for its hometown art museum while celebrating its fashion partners.
This year, the museum presented an immersive installation featuring Christian Louboutin’s Nudes footwear collection. “Beauty and the Nudes,” which features sketches alongside product from the collection, will be on view at the museum through Saturday.

“My company, founded just over 30 years ago, expanded in its early years primarily thanks to the Americas. Throughout all these years, Nordstrom has been part of our story, so celebrating their 125th anniversary together feels very special,” said Louboutin, who participated in a conversation with Scott Stulen, director and chief executive officer of the Seattle Art Museum, as part of the event on Tuesday. “Ever since its creation in 2009, ‘The Nudes’ resonated immediately in the USA, as it is a celebration of diversity and all skin tones. Therefore, it felt very natural to showcase it for this special occasion.”
To help Nordstrom mark its 125th annivesary, the designer has also partnered with the retailer for an exclusive capsule collection of footwear and beauty, available in select stores and online.
Past “Spring Into Art” benefits have featured designers Joseph Altuzarra, Giambattisa Valli and Wes Gordon.
