THE WHAT? Natura is expanding production capacity at its Celaya facility in Guanajuato, Mexico, with new production lines and quality control technology designed to increase output by between 30 and 60 percent.
THE DETAILS The 189,000-square-metre complex employs more than 1,000 people and serves as a manufacturing and distribution hub for Natura and Avon in Mexico. The investment will add production lines and new quality control technology as Natura increases the proportion of products manufactured locally, with the longer-term goal of doubling the number of products produced in Mexico. The expansion follows the relocation of Avon’s production and distribution operations to Celaya and is also expected to strengthen links with local suppliers and specialist talent.
THE WHY? The investment strengthens Mexico’s role within Natura’s manufacturing and supply chain network, increasing local production capacity while further consolidating Celaya as a strategic manufacturing and distribution hub for Natura and Avon.
