THE WHAT? Walmart has raised its fiscal 2027 outlook after delivering second-quarter revenue growth of 5.9 percent to $187.9 billion, supported by growth across its US and international businesses and continued expansion in e-commerce.
THE DETAILS Walmart U.S. net sales increased 3.5 percent to $125.2 billion, while Walmart International sales rose 12.8 percent to $35.2 billion. Global e-commerce sales grew 23 percent and operating income increased 28.8 percent to $9.38 billion, with adjusted EPS reaching $0.81. Following the performance, Walmart raised its FY27 guidance and now expects constant-currency net sales growth of 4.0–5.0 percent, adjusted operating income growth of 7.0–8.5 percent and adjusted EPS of 2.80–2.87.
THE WHY? The results demonstrate the growing contribution of Walmart’s digital and omnichannel operations to its wider retail model.
