THE WHAT? Australian cosmetics brand MCoBeauty has partnered with Mondelēz International’s Cadbury on a cross-category collaboration spanning color cosmetics and confectionery, extending both brands into each other’s core categories.
THE DETAILS The collaboration pairs a new Cadbury Dairy Milk Watermelon chocolate bar, inspired by MCoBeauty’s Watermelon Glow range, with a Cadbury-themed MCoBeauty collection. The beauty range spans an eyeshadow palette, lip peptide treatments and an Icons Collection featuring mascara, liner, pressed powder and a setting puff. The collaboration has launched in Australia.
THE WHY? The partnership reflects the growing use of cross-category collaborations as a brand-building strategy, particularly between beauty, food and lifestyle companies. For MCoBeauty, the tie-up provides access to the cultural recognition of one of Mondelēz’s largest brands, while Cadbury gains exposure within beauty and an opportunity to engage audiences beyond traditional confectionery.
