No detail is too small for Cardi B.
Last night at the Old Navy denim drive in New York City, the rapper took an eagle-eyed approach to her outfit. Cardi opted for a layered look perfect for the fast-approaching fall: an open royal blue cardigan worn over a sunny yellow sweater, buttoned all the way up. (Take note: a double cardigan is the perfect way to add a little zing to your cold-weather wardrobe.) But it’s not fall yet: Cardi embraced the persistently popular pedal pushers, wearing a pair of body-hugging indigo capris that fell just below her knees.
While the double cardigan leveled up the look, Cardi’s attention to detail really shone through in her color coordination. She carried an emerald green Chanel 25 (which, you may recall from elementary school art class, is the combination of blue and yellow) that perfectly matched her long stiletto-shaped fingernails.
The subtle beauty detail brings Cardi B’s whole outfit together. Not only did she take the care to coordinate her nails with her purse, she also played with color theory, opting for a pleasant analogous pairing. It just goes to show that the smallest details make a world of difference.
